A significant enhancement has been made in the GINESYS Release of 10.20.3 which is the Gate Entry system. The Gate Entry system is to track incoming goods within the premises. At times in practical scenario, the received goods from any Vendor/Customer may not be as accurate as promised. If the Gate Entry is applicable then the correct quantity of goods received can be recorded at the time of entering the goods in the Warehouse or any location where Inventory is maintained. Thereby, to make this flow more disciplined GINESYS has incorporated the new Gate Entry module to keep your Inventory records in a more systematic way.
The Gate Entry module enables not only to record the receiving goods, but also attach logistic notes if any Logistic is maintained in the Company. In order to close this incoming goods transaction, an entry document like Goods Receive Challan is raised to complete the transaction. It is in this entry document a Gate Entry can be attached, if Gate Entry is applicable. However, the Gate Entry is not a compulsory feature but if you wish to avail this feature then you need to make it applicable for the respective Vendor/Customer in their Master modules.
If you want to get this enhancement in your software from now onwards, update your software with the patch release of 10.20.3. For further details on this new module, Gate Entry, please refer to the updated GINESYS Help available with the patch.
