IPL  season III  kicks off  from today, people are buzzing with excitement and enthusiasm to see their favorite teams or players in action. Even though, there has been controversies and issues surrounding the tournament, but all that is forgotten and things are back on track. This season IPL has more to offer you.

Yog Sport an official partner of IPL  has for the first time set up 170 shops in major cities like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Jaipur, Cuttack, Mohali, Dharmashala, Nagpur and Ahmadabad. The shops would be located in Multiplexes, Malls and in Stadiums where matches are going to be held. These shops will sell team T-Shirts, badges, caps, key chains, wallets, wrist bands etc., during the matches.

GINESYS, an enterprise software solution provider in retail sector, has partnered with Yog Sport to connect all shops and  provide necessary IT infrastructure . GINESYS is managing systems, softwares and providing technical support across the country to manage and roll out this shops.  The roll out of kiosk shall commence from inauguration of IPL on 12th March 2010.

For steady and continuous supply of merchandise (in the supply chain) right from Procurement , Inventory Management and Point of Sales technology support has been provided at every step of the way and managed by GINESYS Software. GINESYS has implemented the technology at all Point Of Sale (POS) in all the Stadiums, Malls and Multiplexes and have done deployment for back-office, warehouse management and Management Information System (MIS) at the head office.

It is estimated that Rs 30 crore (300 Million) of merchandise will be sold off during IPL matches through these outlets.  Moreover, the project of such magnitude  has been implemented by GINESYS in all the locations in a record 7 days time including head office and warehouse.  Required support was provided by GINESYS offices from all over India. “ We are capable of handling any kind of critical implementation in record time”, says Mr. Jitendra Vyas, AVP – Ginni Systems Ltd.

The company was looking for a solution that would bring all of its businesses and processes together. GINESYS was the Solution which provides the total solution from manufacturing to retailing. Apart from that they are having some specific requirement regarding cost of Sample ling which need to be mapped with GINESYS. Implementing all those requirements in a short span of time was a major challenge for GINESYS.

The first phase involved blueprinting existing processes and mapping them to the desired state. GINESYS team carried out certain amount of BRR to carry out the implementation smooth. The project was implemented in one go as decided by both the organization.
