GINESYS 10.14.0 – Enhancements

GINESYS and ORACLE installation

With this Version release, GINESYS has introduced a new installation Pack. Both GINESYS and Oracle will get installed simultaneously. The Installation Setup will itself check the system configuration and install the supporting Oracle Version for both Oracle Database and Client (User interference for Oracle Version selection has been removed).

Note: In case of 64bit OS installation .NET framework will not be installed automatically. After completion of GINESYS setup it has to be installed separately as provided in GINESYS pack within ‘//Others/.NET Framework 2.0(x64)’ folder. Few Utilities like Import Excel, Export Agent etc. will not function if the framework is not installed.

Default Finance Chart of Accounts

Default ‘Chart of Accounts’ for Finance module is now provided with GINESYS installation. The system will automatically create a generic Group Structure along with General Ledgers and Sub Ledgers those are commonly required.

GINESYS Icons changed

Desktop icons for GINESYS, License Manager, Auto Update, Export Agent, Backup and Restore have been changed. A refreshed look has been provided to GINESYS startup and login screen. GINESYS initial screen will display Product logo for POS / Retail / Business as per the installed License.

GINESYS Help

GINESYS Help file has been updated with latest release. Help file if called from any entry module will open up with that specific module.

 

Audit Trail and Third party integration modules have been removed. Two register reports in Audit Trial module named ‘Documents Log’ and ‘User Application Log’ have been shifted to Utilities module under Reports folder.

‘Production Control’ module has been renamed as ‘Production’.

‘Standard Reporting Services’ module has been renamed as ‘Business Analytics’.

On creating Child Company template, Memo.ctl and Return.ctl control file selection was mandatory. Now the user can select any control file for Cash Memo and Return Memo.

 

Change with respect to Inventory entry group has been made. This has no visual impact.

Celebrating 10th year of Ginni Systems

1999

This year we celebrate 10th anniversary of GSL. In 1999 Exactly 10 years ago Arjun, Soumyadip and Harsh and myself formed Ginni Systems.  The journey from 1999 to 2009 has been extraordinary and would not have been possible without the contribution of all of you. There are so many memories to recall and cherish.

On this special occassion I  would like to pay my gratitude to the three diamonds on completing 10 years in GSL.


2003

Arjun Roy :Arjun has always been a great visionary always thinking ahead of times.  His unparallel dedication towards work and overall interpersonal relationship  is a great motivator.  I see 2 different Arjun in past decade. The first 5 Year Arjun was a techie who built the foundation of our software we built.   The last 5 year Arjun is a different person taking responsibilities head on and managing Kolkata operations superbly.  He is the most critical of us always wanting to make GSL better and better.  I know still as we move ahead he is thinking of  what next ? Carry on  Arjun,  we shall always be on the edge because of you.

2005Soumyadip Bhattacharya :What should I say about Soumyadip. He is the darling of the organization. I have never seen a person like him, so cool in pressure cooker situations.  I admire Soumyadip the way he handles himself in all types of situation, always ready to take challenges and deliver.  After his taking over of GINESYS in last 4 years, the software has seen unparallel improvement. He has great ability to make complex things look simpler and solving problems unperturbed. I have no doubt that with a person like Soumyadip our software shall improve by leaps and bounds.  Soumyadip, you are superb.

2007

Harsh Nahata : Harsh. The name is enough. He is the example of Hard work done under most harsh conditions. No matter what work we gave to harsh in difficult situations, Harsh has always been a winner. He is the all-rounder of GSL. His dedication towards work is a great motivator to all. He has the special ability to take difficult task hands on and deliver. From being a small little boy to whom once a customer remarked that we have send a child, Harsh has become a Man who delivers. Customers are happy, when he is there.  Harsh, I want lot of your clones under you. Create !

2009I am thankful to all of you who has made this wonderful journey possible.

I am confident that  GSL shall move ahead with much greater pace in coming years.
